Privacy Policy
MotoGarage Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 31, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Follow the White Rabbit handles information in the current release of MotoGarage for Android and iOS. MotoGarage keeps the garage information you enter on your device. It does not provide developer-operated accounts, cloud sync, analytics, advertising or tracking.
1. Developer and scope
MotoGarage is developed by Follow the White Rabbit. This policy applies to the current MotoGarage applications for Android and iOS.
2. Accounts and authentication
MotoGarage does not require or offer a MotoGarage account, registration, login or developer-operated authentication service. Your Google Play or Apple account may be used by the applicable app store to process and restore a Premium purchase, but MotoGarage does not receive your account password.
3. Information stored on your device
Depending on how you use the app, MotoGarage may store:
- A rider display name and an optional profile photo
- Motorcycle details, including make, model, nickname, year, VIN, license plate, specifications, ownership details, mileage, dates, notes and an optional photo
- Service and maintenance items, intervals, due dates, mileage, status and notes
- Fuel entries, including quantity, price, fuel type, mileage, station name and notes
- Costs such as service, repair, accessories, insurance, inspection, parking and custom expenses
- Trip names, descriptions, dates, duration, distance, speed statistics, notes and, for GPS-recorded trips, route points
- Photos selected for profiles, motorcycles or the media library, plus their captions and associations
- Document records such as titles, categories, dates, expiry dates and notes
- App preferences such as units, currency, language, appearance and notification settings
This content is stored in MotoGarage's private app storage on your device. MotoGarage does not upload it to a developer-operated server or provide cloud synchronization. Your operating system or device provider may handle device backups independently of MotoGarage, according to your device and account settings. Android app data is configured to be excluded from Android cloud backup and device transfer.
4. Location and trip recording
If you choose to record a trip, MotoGarage requests location permission and uses device GPS data to calculate and save the trip route, distance and speed information. Route points may include latitude, longitude, time, accuracy, altitude and speed. On Android, trip recording uses a location foreground service and displays an ongoing notification so recording can continue while the app is not in the foreground. On iOS, location updates may continue in the background while a trip is being recorded.
Location is used only for the trip-recording feature and is stored with the trip on your device. MotoGarage does not send trip or location data to the developer, advertisers or analytics services. You can decline location permission and continue using features that do not require GPS recording; manual trip entry remains available.
5. Photos, media and documents
MotoGarage uses the system photo picker when you choose an image. Only items you select are copied into the app's private storage. The current release does not upload selected media or document records to a server. You control whether to add or remove this content.
6. Premium purchases and app stores
MotoGarage offers an optional Premium in-app purchase. Purchases are processed by Google Play on Android and Apple through StoreKit on iOS. MotoGarage communicates with the applicable store to request product information, start a purchase, verify the current entitlement and restore purchases. Google or Apple may process purchase, account, device and payment information under their own privacy policies. MotoGarage does not receive or store your full payment-card details. The app stores the Premium entitlement in memory and rechecks it with the applicable store; it does not maintain a separate developer-operated purchase account.
7. Third-party services
The current Android release uses the Google Play Billing Library solely for the Premium purchase and entitlement functions described above. The current iOS release uses Apple's StoreKit for the same purpose. No other third-party SDKs or developer-operated online services were identified in the current release.
8. Analytics, advertising and tracking
The current release does not include analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs or tracking services. MotoGarage does not display advertising and does not track you across apps or websites.
9. Sharing and sale of data
MotoGarage does not sell your personal data. The current release does not transmit your garage, rider, motorcycle, trip, GPS, photo, maintenance, fuel, cost or document data to the developer or share that content with third parties. Store-related communications with Google Play or Apple are limited to operating the Premium purchase and entitlement.
10. Permissions
MotoGarage may request or use the following system capabilities:
- Precise or approximate location for optional GPS trip recording
- Background or foreground-service location while an active trip is being recorded
- Notifications on supported Android versions for the ongoing trip-recording notification
- The system photo picker when you voluntarily select an image
- App-store billing for purchasing or restoring Premium
You can manage permissions through your device settings. Some related features may not work if permission is denied.
11. Retention and deletion
Information remains in the app's private local storage until you delete the relevant record or media where the app provides that control, clear the app's data through the operating system, or uninstall the app. Because MotoGarage has no developer-operated user account or cloud database, there is no corresponding MotoGarage server account to delete. Purchase records retained by Google or Apple are controlled by the applicable store and its policies.
12. Security
MotoGarage relies on the application sandbox and access controls provided by Android and iOS to keep its local files private from ordinary access by other apps. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, and MotoGarage does not make an absolute security guarantee. Protecting your device with a passcode and current operating-system updates helps protect locally stored information.
13. Children's privacy
MotoGarage is a vehicle-management utility and is not directed specifically to children. The developer does not knowingly collect personal data from children through the app.
14. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when MotoGarage's behavior changes or legal requirements change. An updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
15. Contact
